  JDS Notes: His birthdate is 25 Sep on the Pleve chart for the surname Reitz and on his death certificate but 28 Sep in the transcription of the 1886 Kukkus Family List. 25 Sep is assumed to be correct. He and his wife and three children sailed on the SS Rhein from Bremen on 2 Jun 1907 and arrived at Baltimore, MD, USA on 17 Jun 1907. His contact in the USA was his stepfather Heinrich Engelman in Blissfield, MI. Last residence and birthplaces were Kukkus, except that birthplace was Stahl am Tarlyk for his wife.
