• Notes

  Katherine Elisabeth Becker was born April 5, 1867 in Kukkus, Russia. She married Philip Heinrich and twelve years later came to St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1908 they moved to Au Gres. She was an active member of the St. John's Congregational Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society. Katherine and Philip celebrated their 50th anniversary in November 1937. About a year later she went to Wheeler, MI to visit her son, William and his family. While there she became seriously ill and passed away December 12, 1938 at the age of 71. Funeral services were held from St. John's Congregational Church in Au Gres with Rev. G.K. Widmayer officiating. Burial was in Whitney-Sims Cemetery at Pt. Lookout. At the time of her death in 1938, she had a brother Adam Becker in Adrian, MI and two sisters in Russia.
