• Notes

  In 1652, a year before the death of his father, Gabriel Maser was a schoolmaster at Swiss Emmental case-Umstadt and then in 1658 after Lengfeld. It is likely that in 1652 he followed a call or a recruitment of the Palatinate rulers in Heidelberg, in the Odenwald to represent the teachings of the Reformed Church and to teach by teaching. Already in the 16th Century, the rulers had decided after a kofessionellen back and forth for the Calvinist direction. 1576, while many reformietrte officials, preachers and school teachers were expelled, because the then ruler of the Lutheran doctrine known but already in 1583 was the Calvinistic doctrine introduced in the country.
