Biography
Peter Blossom was probably born at Great Shelford, Cambridge, England about 1535; the son of John Blossom and his wife, whose surname is not known.[1]
He may be the youth who matriculated as sizar from Peterhouse College, Cambridge at Easter 1550. Ordinarily a person who receives that education would not become a husbandman or laborer. Yet the name "Peter Blossom" is infrequent and the age is about right, so it is possible, not proved, that they are one and the same person.[1]
Peter married first at Great Shelford on September 21, 1567 to Margaret Roger who was buried at Great Shelford on August 27, 1568. Secondly he married about 1570 to Anabell _____. [1]
He was taxed at Great Shelford in the Lay Subsidy of 1571 and there was called "husbandman." As "Peter Blossom of Great Shelford, husbandman, he deposed in the Chancery Deposition of June 28, 1585 that he was fifty years old or thereabouts.[1]
Peter Blossom died and was buried at Stapleford on June 15, 1597. His will, dated June 2, 1587 names his wife "who have en a good wench as any could be" as executrix. Therein he calls himself a laborer and refers to his "worldly goods which are not greate."[1]
Anabel married (2nd) at Stapleford on February 6, 1597/8 to Richard Bracher. The couple lived in Cambridge and he died there before October 4, 1617 when letters of administration were given to his relict Annabel Bracher. No probate records for her death were found.[1]

Children of Peter and Annabel (_____) Blossom:[1]
Francis Blossom baptized at Great Shelford January 21, 1570/1; buried there on Feb. 8, 1570/1
Ann Blossom baptized at Great Shelford on December 30, 1571
John Blossom baptized at Great Shelford April 2, 1574 and buried there October 26, 1625. He married at Great Shelford October 24, 1602 to Annis Kinder and had at least one infant son buried at Great Shelford on February 20, 1604/5.
Alice Blossom was baptized at Great Shelford on August 5, 1576 and buried there on September 9, 1576.
Thomas Blossom was probably a son who was born at Little Shelford about 1580.
There may be other children as well. Peter Blossom's will implied that he had minor children (plural) living in 1597.[1]
