Notes for JACOB WEBER from JDS:
He and his wife and two children sailed on the SS Westernland from Antwerp on 5 Nov 1898 and arrived at NY, USA on 15 Nov 1898. His contact in the USA was his cousin Will Kerner (Wilhelm-William Körner-Kerner, born 14 Dec 1863) in Fresno, CA. Last residences were Warenburg, and birthplaces were Samara.

Jakob married Maria Christina Rudolph before Jun 1895 in Russia. Maria (daughter of Johann Rudolph Rudolph and Margaretha Vorath) was born on 17 Feb 1869 in Russia; died on 2 Dec 1924 in Billings, Yellowstone, Montana, USA; was buried on 5 Dec 1924 in Billings, Yellowstone, Montana, USA. Other Events:

    • Name: Maria Christina Ohlberg
    • Name: Maria Christina Weber
    • Reference Number: 1082

    Notes:

JDS notes in regard to her surname:
The Rudolph surname appears in various records (daughter Amelia's baptism, son Peter's records, etc., records showing her and Heinrich with her Weber kids in the family) as well as in Ludwig Heinrich's obituary. Her own obituary also names a sister in Fresno that was a daughter of Johann Rudolph Rudolph. I have this sister in my file, as she married a distant cousin of mine. A 1910 Census record says this was Ludwig Heinrich's first marriage and Maria's second. Her first husband's death was in the paper. He was with a couple of horses and a wagon and closing a gate when the horses started off with the wagon and got on a RR track. He tried to get them off and was hit by a train.
The name Ohlberg has to come from a very bad translation error, as the 1886 List was written in Russian. Of course Weber came from her first husband.
Notes for MARIA-MARIE CHRISTINA-CHRISTINE RUDOLPH from JDS:
She and her husband were enumerated twice in the 1910 Montana Census. On 18 May 1910 they were listed as Lewis and Mary Henry. She was indicated as married 15 years (8 overwritten), and he 8 years. She was indicated as the mother of 6, 6 living, but only 5 were listed in the household, Peter, Maggie, Conrad, Geo, John. She and her husband and the eldest two children were indicated as born in Germany, Conrad and Geo as born in CA, USA, and John as born in CO, USA. Immigration year was given as 1902 for those born in Germany. Her children from her first marriage were not indicated as stepchildren. Also on 18 May 1910 they were listed as Ludwick and Mary Henry. She was indicated as the mother of 7, 6 living, and 6 children were listed. She was indicated as on her first marriage, her husband on his second, married 10 years. Her children from her first marriage were properly indicated as stepchildren.

Obituary taken from the Wednesday, December 3, 1924 edition of The Billings Gazette, Billings, Yellowstone County, MT, USA: Mrs. Heinrich Dies From Heart Disease - Marie Christina Heinrich, wife of Ludwig Heinrich, died at the family home, about seven miles west of Billings, at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning. They lived in California for six years and then moved to Rocky Ford, Colo., where they lived four years. They came to Yellowstone county about 14 years ago and have been located at the present home for seven years. All are living in Billings except Mr. Weber, who is on his way from Caliornia to attend the funeral. Two sons are dead. Two sisters, Mrs. Chris Geringer of Fresno and Mrs. David Menak of Russia, also survive. Mrs. Heinrich was a member of the First German Congregational church of this city. Funeral arrangements await the arrival of the son from California. Alexander Heinrich, a son, was seriously hurt Saturday afternoon when a train struck a team which he was driving, killing one of the horses.
