She arrived in Oranienbaum from Luebeck on 8 Aug 1766 on the Luebeck under Skipper Weibe Heinrichson in the company of her widowed father Adam, her sister Maria, 16, and her brother Heinrich, 14. She was listed as Anna, 10 1/2

She is listed in the transport list from Oranienbaum to the Volga Colonies as Margreta, 13, with sister Maria, 22, and brother Heinrich, 19. It would appear that several years were added to each of their ages for some unknown reason.

She is listed as Anna Maria Baum in the Kukkus FSL with her brother Heinrich where it is indicated they had lived in the household by Wilhelm Kloss in Oranienbaum after the death of their father Adam. She is listed in the 1798 Volga Census as Margaretha Baum with her second husband.

Her true name is assumed to have been Anna Margaretha Baum.

On 1798 census she is listed as married to Johannes Habermann and the widow of Heinrich Johannes with 3 of Heinrich Johannes's children living in the Habermann Household.

Catholic Faith, From Meinz. Felsheim Village, arrived in Oranienbaum (not far from Saint Petersburg) on 8/8/1766 by the ship under the command of Heinrichson. Their children arrived in Kukkus Colony on 26 Jun1787.

It is a fact that only people of the Reformed Faith lived in Kukkus. This story will explain how a Catholic family arrived and settled in Kukkus.

As the widower, Adam Baum, was traveling to Russia with his children, he died while in Oranienbaum, near St Petersburg. His children were taken in by a childless famility he had befriended while on the ship which was taking both families to Russia. Wilhelm and Anna Maria Kloss took the parentless children in and raised them as their own in Kukkus. The children of Adam Baum, a Catholic, were raised in the Reformed Faith. That is how a family of Catholics arrived in the Reformed Faith village of Kukkus. (Story taken from a letter written by Dr Igor and Ludmila Pleve to Gene Lehman in 1998)
