Emeline L. Wilson, formerly of Saginaw, MI passed away on July 16, 2013 in Green Valley, AZ. Emeline was born in Highland Park, MI on September 18, 1931 to the late John and Bertha (Lobes) Heinrich. After graduating from AuGres H.S. in 1949, she studied at County Normal the following year. In 1951 she was married and started her family. Emeline received her Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and Master’s Degree from Saginaw Valley State University while working full time and raising her family. She retired from Chester Miller Elementary in 1991 after teaching for over 30 years. Emeline loved to travel, play cards with friends, bowl and follow the Detroit Tigers. She was an active member of Countryside Trinity Church. Emeline loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Kasper (Burlie Wilson) of Cullowhee, NC, Jerry (Karen) Wilson of Green Valley, AZ, and Mary Ann Waters of Saginaw, MI; five grandchildren, Terry Kasper (Carrie Livingston) of Livonia, MI, Jamie Kasper of Gainesville, GA, Shane (Rosanna) Wilson of Shelby Twp, MI, Shannon Wilson of Venice, FL, and Jamie Keene of Tucson, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Shawn Wilson, Alissa Wilson and Jordan Jones; sister Nancy (James) Gray of Hazel Park, MI; nephew John Schonmeier of Dearborn, MI. She was predeceased by her son David Wilson.
The memorial will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Countryside Trinity Church located at 4690 Weiss, Saginaw Township, MI 48603. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson's Association (www.parkinsonsmi.org) or to the Countryside Trinity Church.
