  OBITUARY: Mary K. Anthony, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Sheridan Manor. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Elks Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Mrs. Anthony was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Granite Falls, Minn., to Neal and Jennie Nelson. She grew up and attended schools in Granite Falls and was a 1952 graduate of Granite Falls High School. She married Earl Anthony Nov. 10, 1952, in Granite Falls. The couple moved to Havre, Mont., where they lived for 18 years before moving to Forsyth, Mont. They moved to Sheridan in 1973, and Mrs. Anthony worked at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County and, later, Sheridan VA Medical Center as a licensed practical nurse. She retired in 1995. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Women's League of the Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by one son. Survivors include her husband of Sheridan; a son, Thomas of Sheridan; two daughters, Shirley Grotz of Prescott, Ariz., and Susan Goodman of Sheridan; a brother of Minnesota; a sister of Washington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
