This is the headline and picture accompanying an article in a 1936 Arenac County Independent. A synopsis of the article is as follows: In the picture are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dittenber with two of their granddaughters, Dorothy and Rose Dittenber and their only great-grandchild, Robert Dittenber. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on January 17 of this year at their home near Au Gres. They were remarried by Rev. G. K. Widmayer of the St. Johns Congregational church. They were originally married in Kukus, Russia in 1886 and came to this county in 1902, moving to the Au Gres area in 1904.
